Welcome to Elizabeth City Rowing Club and Bugsy Beach

2024 Fall Bugsy Beach Chase 3.5K

Our fall Bugsy Beach Sprints will be held on September 28. The chase is designed as an exciting 3,500 Meter course.

Coaches, please see the 2024 Fall Bugsy Beach Chase 3.5K page to complete the entry form and learn more. Participants, be sure you have completed the required ECRC Waiver Form.

Adult Fall Rowing

Adult Fall Sessions to be held Friday through Sunday for 8 weeks, beginning Sunday, September 1 through the end of October. Sessions will be Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays from 7:00-9:00. These sessions will be limited to experienced rowers after the first week with focus on sculling due to weather considerations. Cost is $175.

All abilities are welcome. Based on who we have each day and what skills are being worked on you will be placed in different boats to gain a breadth of experience.

Private Lessons

Private Lessons are 90 minute one-to-one lessons with either our Coach or one of our Varsity rowers qualified to teach. Cost is $150. These can be scheduled any Friday or Saturday 7:00-8:30 AM or if another time works better for you we will do our best to accommodate.

Youth Rowing Team

ECRC Youth (12-18 year olds) Rowing Team begins June 11 and will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:00-8:30 AM from June 11 through July 30, then 6:30-8:00 AM from August 1 through August 29th. Cost is $175.

Our youth team will be continuing to train in single, double, and quad sculling boats as well as 4’s and 8’s. For returning rowers this is the time to work on your goals to row in a different seat or challenge yourself with faster splits, distance per stroke, technique and so much more. This is also the season the we recruit new rowers so its an ideal time for novices!
